Welcome to the Simmons-Bond Inn Bed & Breakfast Blog!

This is the first post of what will be a frequent, informative, and lighthearted look at our Bed & Breakfast, the City of Toccoa, and the many attractions and things to do in the north Georgia Mountain area.
For almost 20 years, the Simmons-Bond Inn has welcomed guests from all over the U.S. – and many other countries – to the beautifully restored Queen Anne, Greek Revival, Victorian mansion in downtown Toccoa. History abounds within the walls, and the aroma of a three-course gourmet breakfast cooking in the kitchen, lets our guests know they’re in for a real treat.
Spring is a special time in Toccoa! The weather is sunny and warm, trees and flowers are blooming, birds wake us with their morning songs, and it’s a great time to get away for a day or two at the Simmons-Bond Inn Bed & Breakfast. Visit Toccoa Falls – the highest waterfall in the eastern United States – higher than Niagara Falls. Stop in to the Currahee Military Museum, two blocks from the Inn, and go back in time with the Band of Brothers, Camp Toccoa, and the men and women who defended our country in WW II. Dine at one of the family-friendly restaurants for lunch and dinner, just a short walk away. And if you’re a train enthusiast, Amtrak and freight trains make frequent trips up and down the tracks just a short walk away.
Now, I’ve only scratched the surface of things to do in Toccoa while staying with us at the Simmons-Bond Inn Bed & Breakfast. Future blogs will expand on the history of the area, the social and community events here, seasonal events and nighttime entertainment. And best of all, you can experience it all while staying at Toccoa’s premier Bed & Breakfast. Come and stay with us soon. Breakfast is almost ready!
