What’s Happening In Toccoa, GA

Around the Simmons-Bond Inn Bed & Breakfast
Things are hopping this summer in downtown Toccoa and the Simmons-Bond Inn Bed & Breakfast is the perfect place to stay while you enjoy all the events and activities.
The Ida Cox Music Series is in full swing with a different artist featured each Saturday evening. Hundreds of people fill Doyle Street to enjoy the music, good food and drink, and great friends. It’s a fantastic social event for the local folks, and guests of the Simmons-Bond Inn get a taste of the friendly small-town charm that is Toccoa and her residents.
Of course, Toccoa Falls is only a 2-mile drive from the Inn and Tallulah Gorge and Falls is just 20 minutes away. Explore the rim of the gorge and 4 waterfalls or take the steps down to the suspension bridge and the bottom of the gorge (if you’re a fit hiker).
The new viewing platform has been completed next to the railroad tracks for train enthusiasts and anyone who wants a close-up view of the passenger and freight trains that regularly come through Toccoa. We are a favorite stop on the Amtrak Crescent Line between New York and New Orleans, and we frequently have guests stay with us for a day or two on their way north or south. And if butterflies are your fancy, a beautiful butterfly garden is on its way just outside the Welcome Center and train station.
One dollar movies are showing at the Ritz Theater. That’s right, $1.00 admission and $1.00 concession drinks & snacks. The theater is located just a short walk from the Inn and has showings at 10:00am and 7:00pm. This is a great way to spend a Thursday evening here in Toccoa.
Staying in a Bed & Breakfast is an experience in itself, and with the Simmons-Bond Inn right in the heart of downtown Toccoa and all it has to offer, we know you’ll find your visit an outstanding trip to remember.
